A cult classic piece of Kirby media is getting some renewed attention. The 2001 anime Kirby: Right Back At Ya is getting a Blu-ray boxed release, with all episodes remastered in HD. The Blu ray boxed set will release sometime in Winter 2022 in Japan. There is no word on an international release. [Thanks, Livedoor!]

The announcement appeared during the Kirby 30th anniversary music festival on August 11, 2022. Accompanying the announcement was a short clip of the anime. The blu ray box set will include all 100 episodes. The official Kirby social media accounts will announce further release and pricing information at a later date.

Kirby: Right Back At Ya! originally aired from 2001 to 2003 in Japan. The series later appeared in North America in 2002 under the 4Kids license and aired on Fox. The anime utilized 3DCG rendering, with the help of Nintendo and HAL Laboratory. Since its original airing, the series has reappeared on various platforms, in some regions being broadcast via the Kirby TV Channel on the Wii. Three episodes from the series were also included in Kirby’s Dream Collection.

The Kirby: Right Back At Ya anime will release on blu ray sometime in Winter 2022. There is no word on an English or international release.
