As a special perk (pardon the pun), players who pre-ordered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 digitally will gain access to the game’s campaign a whole week before multiplayer servers go live. It’s a neat idea and means many more people will likely beat Modern Warfare 2’s campaign, free of the fear that the multiplayer meta will get away from them. We now know precisely when we can dive in.

It’s worth noting that this pre-order bonus applies only to those who have pre-ordered digitally; those who have purchased the game physically will need to wait until the official launch on 28th October. Digital is the future, we don’t make the rules.
