Monopoly Madness is an entirely new twist on the classic board game, and by that we mean it turns the “board” into the setting for a chaotic, no-holds-barred multiplayer arena in which players compete to literally vacuum up as many resources as possible, buy and upgrade properties, mess with their opponents, and dodge their tricks to become the new Mr. Monopoly. If that description has you intrigued, good news: You can now grab a free demo for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S and try it for yourself alongside a few friends.

The demo offers a chance to roam the streets of Monopoly City as one of 10 playable characters (20 in the full version), and play the tutorial and story mode offline alongside other local or AI players in two of the full game’s four different environments. There are no turns, dice, or need to stick to the squares; this is a mad dash for money and property. Grab power-ups from Community Chests and you’ll be able to smash through your opponents’ properties in a bulldozer or level them with a jackhammer as you race to snag all the money, water, and electricity before your friends do. Random events, like rolling pumpkins and bird attacks, will keep you on your toes as you invest your resources to buy or upgrade properties and win the game — but if you’re not careful, you might wind up in jail.

Grab the Monopoly Madness demo today to see what you’re missing — and if you decide to grab the full version, it’s available via the Xbox Store on its own or bundled with Monopoly Plus, giving you a madcap party game alongside a more traditional Monopoly experience. There’s a whole city’s worth of money and property out there — make sure you get your hands on it before your opponents do.
